October 10, 2014. Julie Ann Fagner Beech died today at her home surrounded by her loving family at age 59 after a valiant fight against multiple brain tumors. She was born January 1, 1955 in Newark, N.Y. to Lester Fagner and Myrtle M. Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 30 years Darryl B. Beech and one daughter Jacqueline A (Chris) Summers. Also surviving her are her mother Myrtle M. Fagner, brother David (Donna) Fagner, nieces Susan (Kevin) Sharp and Wendy Ellis. She is preceded in death by her father Lester Fagner on August 5, 1995 and sister Nancy Fagner-Ellis on August 20th, 2005. Julie was a faithful and devoted wife and mother. Although very conservative and private in her lifestyle, she maintained many lifelong friendships. Julie was known for a subtle, intelligent, sense of humor and incredible memory. After her husband exited the United States Navy in 1989 they invested in the ownership of Charleston Import Automotive. Julie was active in the Jaguar Society of South Carolina, Charleston British Car Club, was a life-long women’s softball supporter, and baseball fan. Calling hours will be held at the family’s home at 3410 Smoketree Ct, North Charleston SC 29420 on Sunday October 19th 2014 from 3pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice of Charleston can be made at the memorial in person or online at gentivahospicefoundation.org.
