Julius J Sibelli Jr.

Julius J. Sibelli, Jr. of West Haverstraw, NY passed away on December 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to his parents Julius J. Sibelli, Sr. and Catherine A. Sibelli (Coe) on January 18, 1941 in West Point, NY. Julius married the love of his life Maryann E. Frank in 1966, who survives him. He is also survived by his beautiful daughter Charlene Sibelli, along with his sister Rosemary Bates and his cherished nieces and nephews. Julius retired after a long successful career with Orange & Rockland Utilities. He loved his job and the great crew he worked with. Julius enjoyed spending time playing cards with his close friends and going to the casinos. Julius was a compassionate soul, helping those in need whenever they crossed his path. He was a loving father to not just his own child but also to surrounding family members who needed him just as much as he needed them. Though you wouldn't hear it out of his mouth much, all it took was one glimpse at Julius to see the hard work and dedication he put into his family, which translates into words far beyond "I love you." The way Julius carried himself throughout his life is nothing but remarkable. The simplicity of one man never shined so bright. And where Julius walked others were lit up too. When Julius parted from us we lost another great soul, another star of "The Silent Generation,” whose morals and ethics can still be learned from and passed down upon us to this day. Let us live not to mourn the passing of our great loved one, but to rejoice in the celebration of his outstanding life and his accomplishments. Julius was a loving and caring individual. The kind of person we all aspire to be. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 133 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 10:00 am at St. Peter’s Church, Haverstraw, NY, followed by interment at Mt. Repo Cemetery Inc., US-9W & US 202, Haverstraw, NY.
