June B. Ehlke, the daughter of Grace and Arthur Rohde, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving husband and family after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Glen, daughters, Lynn (Thomas) Sindic, Julie (Bud) Bessler Jr. and Tracey (Long) Tran; grandchildren, Eric Sindic, Heather (Kevin) Sather, Kaitlyn and Brad Bessler, Alex, Emily, and Lora Tran; great-grandchildren, Luke and Hayden Sather; brother-in-laws, Wesley Ehlke and Kenneth Pollatz. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Marilyn (William) Hermann of Annapolis, MD, and Arlene Rohde. June graduated from Wauwatosa High School in 1950. After high school she was employed at then Cutler Hammer. On June 4, 1955, she married her loving husband Glen. After several years June was employed by the Waukesha School District, at Hawthorne Elementary School in the library where she worked for twenty years. She enjoyed the wonderful trips the family took and especially the vacations to Northern Wisconsin with family and friends. She was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ. The visitation for June will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service at the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, located at 413 Wisconsin Avenue, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53186. The Reverend James Gorman will be officiating. Private inurnment at the Cremation Garden at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of June may be given to the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ Sunday School Fund.
