Mrs. June K. Elkin went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2021. June was born to Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Vera Mangum on March 8, 1949 in Columbia, SC. June is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Charles “Chuck” Wesley Kennedy Jr. June is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Mr. Simon Elkin; her sister, Judie (Ray) Lancaster; her brother, Ronnie Mangum; her daughter, Marie Kennedy; and her grandchildren, Allie Kennedy, Mallory Kennedy, and Dalton Wooten. Mrs. June was a member of Grace Chapel Church. June was a customer service representative for AT&T, formerly known as Southern Bell/BellSouth for most of her professional career. June graduated from Columbia High School in 1967. She was a lover of the beach and the sun and she loved the color red. Services will be held at Grace Chapel on Wednesday May 12, 2021 at 2:00pm. A Visitation will be held at Grace Chapel at 1:00pm the same day. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
