June Thornburgh

On Wednesday, March 25, 2020 June Elaine Thornburgh passed on to rest in the arms of Our Heavenly Father at age 83 from Colon Cancer. June Elaine Thornburgh was born June 24, 1936 in Kenosha Wisconsin. She moved to South Florida in her 20’s and was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. She retired from the Broward County School System as a Guidance Counselor Assistant. June was very active in various Churches, Bible Studies and Cancer Care Groups. She never met a stranger and always reached out to those in need. Her love for God, Family and Friends was evident to all she came in contact with. June is preceded in death by her father John Dorff and mother Mildred Gascoigne. June is survived by her husband Orland Thornburgh, daughter Patricia McCormick Bruce, son Michael McCormick, grandchildren Ashton Bruce Lee, Ethan Bruce, Bailey Bruce Godfrey, 6 great grand children, her sister Joyce Andrade, brother Jack Dorff and several nieces and nephews. The family will hold a memorial service in July. Please contact them for more details as to the time and place.
