Junior Fred Fletcher
August 23rd, 1938 - December 12th, 2016
Psalm 103 Bless the Lord, O my Soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Junior Fred Fletcher 78, of Kingsport left his earthly body and went to be with his Lord and Savior, God's beloved son on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was a servant of God for over 48 years and currently a member and pastor of Steven's Chapel Church, Wise, VA. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Fred was the owner/operator of Fletcher Plumbing and former employee of Mason Dixon Tank Lines. Fred is preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Fletcher; sons, David and Mark Fletcher; Father, Edward Fletcher; step-mother, Mary Stiltner; birth mother, Rachel Ramey. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia Fletcher; son; Tim Fletcher and wife Pam; special grandson, Jake Fletcher and wife Keisha; granddaughters, Lindsay Fletcher and Linnea Lawson and husband Aaron; sister, Jean Collette; brother, Bob Fletcher; faithful companion, Peanut; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Elder Jerry Smith, Elder Joe Phillips, Elder Anion Cole, and Elder Bob Fields officiating. Music will be provided by Roger and Theresa Sturgill and Jerry Smith. A military graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 1pm at Holston View Cemetery with American Legion post #3/265 conducting the honors. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:15 pm to go in procession to the cemetery. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Fletcher family.
