Junita Elizabeth "Liz" Pearcy

Junita Elizabeth (Liz) Pearcy, age 74, went to be with the lord on Wednesday September 5, 2018 at 1:25 pm at Holston Valley Medical Center. She retired from Kingsport Answering Service. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She loved attending church and singing when her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Reverend Willard Carter and Effie Head Carter, sisters, Charlotte & Jequetta Carter. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Kyle Pearcy, of the home; sister, Loretta Short, brother Dwight (Linda) Carter; her nephews Johnathan (Karen), and Richard (June Marie) Carter, Orlando, Fl; step mother, Ethel Carter; step sisters, Inece Griffin, Geraldine Jones, & Emma Jean Ward; sister in laws, Sue Pearcy and Patricia (Jimmy) Moore; nephew, Brad (Rebecca) Christian; and extended family and friends. Momma Liz dearly loved her great nieces and great nephews, and enjoyed spending time with them. Friends may call anytime at the home of her sister-in-law, Sue Pearcy. Special thanks to Holston Valley Medical Center and Church Hill Health Care & Rehab Center and her roommate Maxie. Graveside services will be at Oak Hill Cemetery on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 2:00 pm, and will be conducted by Bro. Jerry Scalf. Singers will be Liz’s cousins, Leota (Lee) Vaughn and Bernita (Cookie) Wyatt. Those wishing to attend may meet at the cemetery at 1:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity your choice. Elizabeth passed away on the same date her nephew Eric Christian also went to Heaven 14 years ago.
