K Suppiah

K. Suppiah, late of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2023, at Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs, surrounded by family. Suppiah was born in 1929 in Selangor, Malaysia. After graduating from Klang High School, he joined the Royal Malaysia Police in 1951 and served until he retired in 1984 as a senior ranking officer, the Deputy Superintendant of Police. Suppiah was an incredibly kind, generous, and caring person, and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed spending time with friends, playing tennis and cricket, traveling, watching sports, and discussing current world events. In 1970, he married Rondi in Penang, Malaysia, and their daughter Sharmini was born the following year. In 1972, they moved to Ipoh, and then in 1986, they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. That is also when he began his encore career with Walmart where he worked until he was 83. In his later years, Suppiah enjoyed traveling back to Malaysia to celebrate his 90th birthday with friends and family, as well as watching tennis, baseball, and reading. Suppiah is survived by his wife Rondi; daughter Sharmini and her partner Jeff; sisters Indra and Susila; brothers Dharma and his wife Frances, Nadaraja and his wife Saroja; sisters-in-law Mary Jane and her husband Paul, Judy and her husband David, and Linda; brothers-in-law Jim and his wife Shirley, and Loren. Suppiah was preceded in death by his father, Kuppusamy; his mother, Sinnamah; his brother Laxman, who is survived by his wife Kitchi; and his sister Saratha, who is survived by her husband Param. A Celebration of Life service for Suppiah will be held at The Peel House at First Lutheran, 1515 N Cascade Avenue, in Colorado Springs on April 30, 2023, at 1:30 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend to remember Suppiah and celebrate his life.
