Kaaren Louisa Larson
June 13th, 1945 - October 4th, 2017
Kaaren Louisa Larson (Wahlberg) passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side in Santa Cruz, CA, on October 4, 2017, at the age of 72. Kaaren was born on June 13, 1945, to Gustof Wahlberg and Ruth Chambers (Wahlberg), in San Jose, CA. She was a Santa Cruz Native and was in the first graduating class of Soquel High. She married Richard Larson and moved to Turlock where she raised a family and worked at the Turlock Unified School District for several years. Kaaren was the administrative Secretary to the Principal at Dutcher Brown Elementary School when it first opened and remained there through the early 2000's. After Kaaren retired she returned to the Santa Cruz area to be closer to family. Kaaren is survived by her son Kevin Larson of Nampa, Idaho, her daughter, Kristyn Donellan and granddaughter Lennyn Fear, both of Aptos, California. At Kaaren's request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation to the Santa Cruz SPCA where Kaaren enjoyed visiting the kitties and ultimately found her last kitty, Marmalade.
