Kara, 26, passed away November 24, 2013 in Tenino, Washington. She was born September 14, 1987 in Olympia, Washington to Randy and Dru Gonia. Kara graduated from Tenino High School (2006) and Ashmed College (2008). She was an LMT massage therapist in Olympia. Kara was an adventurous, caring, funny and very smart individual. Her smile could light up any room. She loved hiking, going to the beach, kayaking, bungee jumping, trying different foods, becoming an amazing cook, sci-fi movies, music, dogs and every animal. She was a member of the Reservation Riders 4H Horse Club of Thurston County for nine years. She is survived by Randy and Pam of Tenino, Washington and Dru of Spanaway, Washington; brother, Kyle (Sarah and nephew, Teagan) of Spanawa; and grandfather, James Hutchinson (Penny) of Mt. Aukum, California. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Darrell and Charlotte Gonia, Dorothy Edwards Gonia, and Arline Hutchinson. Kara’s loving memories are carried on by her best friend, Karen Brooks of Tumwater, Washington. She was also a best friend to all of her cousins. Kara has numerous aunts and uncles throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California and Alaska. Kara will be remembered by a large loving extended family.
