Karen Inga Anderson
August 12th, 1936 - July 14th, 2021
Karen Inga (Moan) Anderson age 84, passed on July 14, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona. Joining her soulmate, Wayne (Andy), in eternal life, forever continuing their love story. Karen was born in West Salem, Wisconsin to Ingvald and Eva Moan August 12, 1936. Karen, was a 1954 graduate from West Salem High School in West Salem, Wisconsin. After graduating Karen worked in the banking industry and had her six children while living in Madison, WI. Karen then relocated to Tucson, Arizona in 1977, working for the Department of human services for State of Arizona until her retirement. On December 31, 1985, Karen married Wayne Anderson. The two were happily married for 36 years constantly enhancing their home in true Arizona style. They enjoyed traveling yearly to Hawaii, many trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin and once across the pond to London. Karen and “Andy” loved entertaining in their home and football Saturdays tailgating with friends and family. Karen was a wonderful seamstress. She enjoyed sharing her talents by making party and wedding dresses for family and friends. In later years she spent her free time cross stitching Christmas cards, given to her family every year and beautiful pictures that decorated her home. Karen loved to entertain and had the ability to organize extravagant parties and events, cooking and decorating “she was a one women show”! It was said many times that Karen could stretch a dime further than anyone else, however not cheap, just resourceful. She was a “design on a dime” before it was popular. Karen is survived by her children, Mike (Ginny) Conway, Patty (Dave) Krall, Bill Conway, Joe (Jennifer) Conway, Donnie Conway and Debbie Conway, step-children, Dale (Kathi) Anderson, Scott (Marilyn) Anderson, Beth (Dennis) Calvert, and Suzanne Knipfer. In addition, she is survived by 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her brother’s Jim (Nyla) Moan, Fred (Carolyn) Moan, Ellen Niblo, Sara Dutra and numerous nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her husband Wayne D. (Andy) Anderson, her parents and brother Ingvald Moan and sisters Hazel Eidenschink and Ann Georgeson. A memorial service will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. (MST), Monday, July 19, 2021 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd, Tucson, AZ.
