Karen Jane Haithcock
April 29th, 1936 - June 13th, 2024
Karen K. Haithcock, 88, passed away on June 13, 2024, at the Masonic Home of Florida in St. Petersburg, FL. Karen’s life was marked by an unwavering commitment to her family as evidenced by the numerous scrapbooks and photo albums she lovingly created through the years.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Charles Haithcock; her devoted daughter, Laurie Meehan, and son-in-law, Tom Meehan, both of Seminole, FL. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren; Andrew (and Cara) Meehan of Warriors Mark, PA; Lacey Meehan of Seminole, FL; Aaron (and Ali) Meehan of Hoboken, NJ; and Holly (and Tim) Howden of State College, PA. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren; Benjamin Meehan, Aylah Meehan and Ivy Howden, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. Karen will also be missed by her loving stepsons; John Haithcock of Pittsboro, PA, Jim Haithcock of Ravenna, Ohio and their families.
Karen was born on April 29, 1936, and raised by her parents John and Florence Kleinhammer in Butler NJ. She received an associate’s degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. Upon completion of her education, she moved with her family to the Dayton Beach, FL area and remained there much of her life. In her later years she lived in Raleigh, NC and Kutztown, PA before moving back to St. Petersburg in 2017.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 2 PM at the Masonic Home of Florida, 3201 1st Street NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33704
