Preceded in death by parents Marshall Lankton and Emma Erickson Lankton, sister Shirley Aguilar, daughters Kathryn Cardinal and Kelly Lord, infant grandson Joshua Lord, former in-laws George and Emma Lord and Tom Lord, and many aunts and uncles. Family members will always treasure the annual holiday celebrations at her home - the warm welcome, good food, and most of all the fun we had together. Karen was a lover of life, family and friends. She enjoyed people and accepted them the way they were. She was without guile and didn't offer unsolicited advice. She was always there for you whenever you needed someone. She always sent birthday cards, every year to every person. She had a special knack for making each person feel very special. She excelled as a worker and was well-regarded by employers and coworkers in her positions at Southdale Mall (she worked there when it first opened- she fudged her age so she and her sister could work together at the French restaurant in the atrium!), Globemaster Tools, Murphy Motor Freight, US Post Office in St. Paul, and JW's Bierstube in Oakdale. Karen had a passion for bowling over the years, winning the WIBC League Champions 1984-1990, traveling the country with her team. Her passions turned to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren attending many, many hockey games and tournaments, along with other sporting events the kids were involved in. Love you Karen!!
