Karen Marie Welsh (Lauer), 73, of Westminster peacefully passed away January 12, 2016. She was born in Lander Wyoming and moved to Colorado in 1950, where she graduated from West High School in 1960. She lived in Westminster for over 40 years. She was retired from Mountain Bell (US West) and was a proud member of the Mountain Bell Pioneers. Karen is survived by her loving children; Tammy Glaros (Dan), Mike Welsh and Karlene Hirth. By her adored grandchildren; Kaylene, Drew, Zachary, Brittany, Brianna and her cherished great-grandchildren; Kerianne and Jonathan. She is also survived by her siblings; Edward Lauer Jr. (Mary – deceased) and Kay Palinckx (Jim) and many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Gladys and Edward Lauer Sr. She will be remembered by so many things especially for her love of sewing, The Denver Broncos, and trout fishing in the beautiful lakes of Colorado.
