Karen H. Zeier (nee Curda), age 62, Town of Delafield, was taken to our Lord Tuesday, October 10, 2017, far too soon and unexpectedly, for us in this life to understand. She is greatly loved and deeply missed by her husband David, children Aric and Megan, brother Karl (Lani) Curda, other relatives, dear friends and associates at ProHealth Care. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Mark Zeier, Ryan Zeier, Jared Tokuz, Justin Tokuz, Sophia (Jordan) Skeith, Troy Zeier, Fiona Zeier, Mark Curda and Thomas Curda; grand-nephew and niece, William and Liliana Zeier. She is further survived by brothers-in-law, Gary (Charlotte) Zeier, Thomas Zeier, Kenneth (Debbie) Zeier, Paul Zeier; sisters-in-law, Eileen Zeier and Barbara (Matt) Tokuz. Karen was born on December 24, 1954, the daughter of Max and Laverne Curda. Born on the eve of Christmas, she was given the middle name Holly. She was educated at St. Matthias Catholic School; St. Mary's Academy and received a B.S. in Medical Technology from Marquette University. On July 3, 1993, Karen married the love of her life, David Zeier. Karen worked as a medical technologist at Aurora Health Care for 25 years, primarily at St. Luke's Hospital before transferring to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital Laboratory, where she was a highly valued employee for the past 15 years. She was member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology and a member at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Parish. Karen enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, and Asian art. Karen trained on the piano during her school years and was Liberace fan. Most importantly, Karen was a loving wife and a devoted mother to her two children. Karen will be remembered as a generous, caring person. The visitation for Karen will be held on Wednesday, October 18, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the funeral home (237 N. Moreland Boulevard, Waukesha, WI 53088) and on Thursday, October 19, at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church (W280 N2101 Prospect Avenue, Pewaukee, WI 53072 www.stanthony.cc) from 9:30AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Mass. Committal service will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery & Mausoleum S22 W22890 East Broadway Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186).
