July 30th, 1945 - August 20th, 2017
Karl B. Overbeck, 72, of Cocoa Beach, FL, passed away Sunday August 20, 2017. Mr. Overbeck was born July 30 1945 in Philadelphia PA, the son of John B. Overbeck Jr. and Dorothy (nee Burrows). Mr. Overbeck graduated from St. Joseph's Prep (Phila) and MIT, and worked for many years as a Launch Weather Specialist at Cape Canaveral. He is survived by his daughter Joan Jowett (Edward), granddaughter Lauren, brother John, and dear friend Margaret Tobison. In his retirement, he was an active board member of Stonewood Towers condominium, and enjoyed many hours playing bridge with Margaret and his many other friends. To honor his memory, please make a contribution to the American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice. Funeral will be in Philadelphia PA from the Jacob F. Ruth Funeral Home at 11AM Saturday August 26, 2017, visitation from 10AM.
