"Karlene “Kelly” F. Plumador, 48, of South St., died Saturday, January 6 at Mercy Hospital following a long illness. Born in Springfield, August 11, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Frances (Dunn) and John Plumador, Sr. She grew up in Palmer and lived in the area before moving to W. Warren in 1992. A graduate of Cathedral High School she also attended Holyoke Community College, pursuing an accounting degree. Despite Kelly’s handicap, she maintained her sense of humor, enjoyed picnics with family and loved trips to the beach. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed music. She will be deeply missed by her children Jessica Rzewski and Scott Plumador of Chicopee, her long time companion Edward Muller with whom she lived, as well as her five siblings, Patricia LaMountain of Palmer, Diane Abare of Bondsville, Kathleen O’Dell of Three Rivers, John Plumador, Jr. of Agawam, and Nicole Danek of Ludlow, along with her step mother Francine (Borowski) Plumador of Springfield. She also leaves four grandchildren, Ashley Steele, Isabella Plumador, Jade Muller and Ava Nicholes, her step children, Lisa and Victor Muller and many nieces and nephews. Her caretaker and long time friend, Karen Sevigne will also miss her. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 10 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Beers & story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., (Rte. 20) followed by a Service of Remembrance at 6:00 p.m. A procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. for a mass which will begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Bondsville. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield. The family requests that donations be made in her memory to Jessica Rzewski, c/o Beers & Story Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, Palmer, 01069. "
