Katherine “Kathy” Ann (Brachle) Aparicio was born on September 16, 1947. She passed away at age 69 on March 29, 2017 at 2:43pm surrounded by her children, family and friends, just as she would have hoped. She is survived by siblings, Larry Brachle, Tommy Scheier, Lenore Miller Paulson, Chris Brachle Wolfe, and Lisa Hart; her eight children: Dannielle “Danni” Dixson (48), Stacey David (46), Kathleen “Kassey” Stark (45), Jana Thurber (42), Kori Thurber (40), Brianne “Bri” Sole (37), Jessica “Jessie” Shippley (34), David Aparicio (34) and extra daughters Mirielle Harr and Brandy Brachle; thirteen grandchildren: Taryn Chatfield, Dakota and Dalton David, Brandon, Kaitlyn and Jackson Phillips, Angelina and Sophie Sole, Cian and Gavin Shippley, and Donavin, David, Angelo Aparicio, and Akelah Jara; and great-grandchildren: Monroe Aparicio and Maddox Turner. She had eight children of her own, but she opened her door and her heart to many others that became honorary children and family. Kathy lived a life of extraordinary love, generosity, unconditional acceptance and perseverance, which inspired so many to send messages to the new Angel in Heaven: “Mom, I am truly sorry for all the worry I inflicted, for being so far away, and for any harsh words or actions I may have expressed over the years. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amazing gift you bestowed unto me, a foundation of beliefs and experiences that have made me the being I am today. You taught me to care for others, including animals, to see past appearances and into the heart, to be and to do my best, to follow my dreams no matter how high I had to reach, to be grateful for what I have, to share with those in need, especially when I am in need, to love everyone unconditionally, but most importantly to forgive everyone, including myself, for everything. Thank you for exposing me to all spiritual beliefs and then allowing me to choose my own path. This has been my guiding light and Angelic protection along my journey that may have taken me far away in proximity, but always kept me close at heart. Thank you for helping me to see the spiritual nature and power in everything and teaching me to honor all life. Through the hard times, you exhibited the inner strength and vision to recognize the opportunities that protected and kept all of us together to enjoy the wonderful times like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and summers at the lake. Thank you for giving me life and an amazing family, for loving me unconditionally, and for sharing your beauty with all you touched. The essence of your life is best captured in the cyclical life of the Phoenix, a mythical creature that bursts into the flames of despair only to be reborn from the ashes, a beautiful bird, soaring high above the past devastating circumstances. This week, we all had the privilege of being with you at various moments as you spoke your last, “I love you, God Bless you, goodnight, sweet dreams, I will see you soon”, took your last breath, and gave the ultimate gift of sight and bones to those in need before bursting into flames, so you could rise from the ashes into the beautiful Angel that you are. Now you can watch over, guide and protect all of us. I love you, God Bless you, goodnight, sweet dreams, and I will see you in the hearts of everyone you touched.. until I see you in Heaven. I love you more than words could ever express. Enjoy your wings, you worked hard for them!” ~Danni “Mom, I didn’t know how hard this would be. I always thought you would be with me forever. You deserved so much more than life gave you. Thank you for making me the woman I am today!❤️ I love you, God bless you, goodnight, sweet dreams Mom” ~Stacey “I’ve made it home safe and sound. These last 8 days have been harder than I imagined. Heaven has a new beautiful angel, although we wish it wasn’t so. I had tears the whole way home. I have been blessed with a large crazy family that made it possible to survive last week. My mom was the reason for that. I’ll be forever awed by her ability to get people together! I heard many stories of how she affected people’s lives, it was a bright light in a dim time. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in getting me home in time, and taking care of us while we were home. And to my friend family, I couldn’t be more blessed, I received so much love and support I am still in shock! I love you all! Keep an eye on us mom. Xoxo” ~Kassey “Heaven gained a beautiful angel today. My Mom passed away peacefully this afternoon. Luckily I was able to be at the hospital to see her before she went. Now the hard part. Learning how to live without my Mom. Mom, I love you, God bless you, goodnight, sweet dreams and I will see you when I do.” ~Jana “As you all know, my mama passed away Wednesday. It has been a really hard week, to say the least. Like I said earlier today at the service, we went through a lot growing up, but my mom made sure we were always together. And she made sure we were all together when she took her last breaths. I couldn’t have made it through these last few days without you Dannielle Dixson, Stacey David, Kassey Stark, Jana Thurber, Jessica Shippley, David Aparicio, Mireille Harr, Brandon Phillips, Kaitlyn Phillips and Bill. Bill doesn’t have a Facebook page, but I didn’t want to leave him out. We were married for 18 years, have been separated for 3, but he was there for me these past few days just like he would have been when we were married. I am so grateful to have an amazing supportive family. I love you all so much. “My cup runneth over”.” ~Kori “I love you Kathy Aparicio, you truly are my superhero.” ~Bri “Mom, my sisters and I carried you up to collect those beautiful wings you wear now as you hover over us all protecting and guiding! I will see you again! Thank you for loving me unconditionally! Goodbye momma!” ~David “Here with mom, I am preparing myself to walk this final path with her and I find my heart aching for her strength. But I know her strength is mine to give her now. My mind yerns to hear her stories of happier times, so I recall my own to share and it brings the smile to her eyes. All that I am she gave to me. And I must show her it all is here for her to see. I want more lessons learned, yet I can use the ones I have already to help keep my feet steadfast and bring her to her journeys end. We are here because of her love and our love will be her home. Now as always.” ~Jessie “I will miss you so much- love, Branflake” ~Brandy “Grandma, you made such a beautiful family. Family that taught me the meaning of life, love, and who helped me through the toughest of times. Know that wherever I go, wherever we all venture to, you will be with us all..You taught us how to love each other, whether it was tough or not, and that is something we will all take with us. I will miss you more than I can describe, and will always keep you in my heart and prayers. I love you, God bless you, goodnight, sweet dreams and I’ll talk to you everyday.” ~Dakota “I love you god bless you goodnight sweet dreams I’ll talk to you soon, Grandma. I love you.” ~Dalton “Kathy was a strong woman that overcame great obstacles in her life so that she could be the kind of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who ensures all of her family (and adopted family) feel loved and empowered in this often trying world. Through this duty she took on and through the countless unique memories we all have of her will we keep her alive in our hearts and minds and will we be reminded to show the same kindness and care to the other important people in our lives.” ~Brandon “Lost both of my grandmas in less then a year. I will always remember your corned beef and cabbage nights…..And to all grandma Kathys daughters and the best step dad ever…..I’m so sorry for the loss of your mom.
