Katherine Eliza Rosenberger Benner

Katherine Eliza Rosenberger Benner (Kathie), 83, passed away on January 22, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her husband, Carl F Benner; her children: Ross D Benner, Steven W Benner, Susan R Benner (Stephanie), and G Jeff Benner; her grandchildren: Alex R Benner, Serena J Benner, Lukas B Benner-Nelson; and her siblings Peter Rosenberger (Connie) and Mary Hourigan (Phillip). She was predeceased by siblings Susan R Stolpe (Martin) and Jerome Rosenberger (Kathleen). Kathie was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Ross D. Rosenberger and Ruth (Bown) Rosenberger. She graduated from New Castle High School (PA). She earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Bryn Mawr College and an MLA from Beaver College (Arcadia Univ). Kathie and Carl raised their family in suburban Philadelphia, PA; retired to Galloway, NJ in 1999; then relocated to Indian Trail, NC in 2015 to live with their daughter. They were members of the Thomas Paine Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Norristown, PA and charter members of The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the South Jersey Shore in Pomona, NJ. A Celebration of Life is being planned for the spring and will be held in Indian Trail, NC and online.
