Katherine "Kathy" Gail Carr
December 6th, 2023
By a sudden departure due to health complications, Katherine “Kathy” Gail Carr, left this earthly realm and gained her wings at 65 years old on December 6, 2023. With the help and support of a 35 year marriage to her loving husband William (Bill) Carr, they were able to raise 4 children into adulthood and guide many grandchildren in the right direction. Kathy's fiery spirit, sharp wit, and no nonsense attitude loved deeper than most. Her strong dedication to family and friends led Kathy to a life of serving others, always putting her wants and needs second. So much so, she took on the sole responsibility of raising her grandson, Kalub Russell,(who she cherished as her own son). She will always be remembered as the daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, and grandmother who "love's you more." In addition to her husband, Bill, Kathy is survived by her children, Donald (Adrianne) Martin, and Amanda (Daniel) Hardesty; her grandchildren Kalub Russell, Yesenia Castro Juarez, Susana Castro Juarez, Israel Castro, Eva Gail Castro, Kalob Chance Castro, Jaxon Hardesty, Jemmalyn Hardesty; and her great grandchildren Christopher Castro, Angel Romero, Natalie Hernandez, Alani Hernandez, Dania Monsivais; and her siblings, Jeffrey Lay, Andrea Lay, Edwin Lay Jr., and Brittany Allen. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her siblings, Joel Lay and Lori Austin. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 5-7pm at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing.
