Kathleen Murray, 92, passed away Sunday March 25, 2012, in Westminster, Co. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Ft Logan cemetery. Kathleen was born in Williamsport Pa to parents Peter and Agnes Carey; she had one sister Mary and a multitude of Irish family in the area. After high school she joined the military and served for several years. While attending college she met her husband Richard Murray. They were married over 50 years until his passing in 2002. Kathleen worked at Us West in the financial department handling saving bonds and other financial responsibilities. She enjoyed her accounting duties and made numerous friends working there. In the later years Kathleen and her husband enjoyed cruises and traveling to share time with friends and family. Kathleen was survived by her son Daniel of Denver, daughter Gail Schwartz and grandchildren Taylor, Dylan, Elizabeth, Evan all of Grand Junction. Grandma Kay was a wonderful influence on her grandchildren and enjoyed every special moment she spent with them. She will be greatly missed.
