Kathleen Marie (O'Shea) Gage

Kathleen Marie (O'Shea) Gage, age 79, of North Charleston, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2021. Beloved wife of 54 years to the late Howard J. Gage; loving mother of Dianne M. Lamb, James O. (Lora) Gage, William H. (Karen) Gage and Daniel K. (Lisa) Gage; grandmother of James D. (Melinda) Gage, Bruce (Taylor) Wells, Heather Gage, Ashley Gage, Christopher Gage, Eric Gage and J. Grace Gage; great-grandmother of Nyah Furman, Colby Morrison, Christopher Morrison and Gage Wells; sister of Margaret Mapes. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia, Madeline, Dolores and Hildy. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a professional secretary and home maker. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she married an Air Force officer and spent 20 years traveling before settling in Charleston, SC. Her greatest passion was to love and care for those around her. She loved Glen Campbell, Lawrence Welk, Wheel of Fortune, solitaire card games and crossword puzzles as long as they said EASY. Mostly she just loved her family. She loved to talk about her 5 sisters and how she raised 4 children, for which she had to cook a dozen pork chops to feed. She succumbed to a 20 year battle with Alzheimer’s. She will be missed.
