Kathleen “Katee” Lowry Pearce, 36, passed unexpectedly on March 8, 2023. Born on May 3, 1986, to Steven B. and Marsha J. Pearce, Katee was a beloved daughter to her parents and sister to Matthew L. Pearce. Katee grew up in Lakewood, Colorado attending St. Bernadette Elementary and Lakewood High School before attending the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, wherein she obtained her business degree in Marketing. She returned to Lakewood and worked for the US Bureau of Land Management as a Contract Specialist since 2015. Katee was fun, charming, strong, caring, beautiful inside and out. Everyone that knew her, or even just met Katee, wanted to be around her. She was electrifying and exuberant. Katee was outgoing, confident, strong-willed, and family-oriented. She was also a little weird – in the best way possible. Katee was a selfless caregiver and strived to find the good in everyone. She was a natural; excelling at anything she put her mind to (with the exception of snowboarding). She also loved being a Colorado native and found comfort in the outdoors. Katee was an avid golfer – but only golfed barefoot - a Green Bay Packer fan, and country music aficionado. Katee was passionate about music and travelled to concerts across the country with her friends and cousins. Katee was a lifelong equestrian with the Pony of America (POA) Colorado Club and animal lover, owning several dogs including Copey, Girly Girl, and Skeeter. Being raised next door to her maternal cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, Katee had a deep appreciation and love for her close-knit family. She was a devoted daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, godmother and friend. She was “Aunt Katee” to many friends’ children, but Katee absolutely adored and loved her niece, Lily Rose, and nephew, Jackson. Katee was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents John and Vivian Lowry, and Harold and Betty Pearce as well as her paternal uncle Craig Pearce. Katee is survived by her parents, Steve and Marsha Pearce, brother Matthew Pearce, niece Lily Rose Cannon Pearce, and nephew Jackson Cannon Pearce. Funeral services will be held at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church (7240 W 12th Ave, Lakewood, CO 80214) on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations in Katee’s name can be made to the Colorado Pony of America’s Club: https://copoac.org/donate-support
