Memorial

Kathleen Frances Shaver, age 62 passed away Saturday September 24, 2011. She is survived by her husband Ken, sister Kerry, nieces Colleen, Erin and Shannon, nephew Matt, numerous great nieces and nephews, one great-great nephew, and a Havanese dog named Zelda. Kathy was Vice President of Supply Chain Management for Centura Health. She believed passionately in Centura†™s mission to care for those who are ill and to nurture the health of the people of Colorado. She had an enthusiasm for life that inspired others and made her a joy to be around. To her, life consisted of a seemingly endless chain of adventures; everything from a big vacation, to watching her nieces and nephews play sports, to having the family over for holidays, to having other friends over for dinner, to trying out new recipes (see: having family and friends over for dinner) were viewed as adventures. Even just taking Zelda for a walk around a nearby lake could become an adventure. Kathy passed away in Budapest, Hungary, while on vacation with her husband Ken and friends. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives were touched by hers. Memorial Service: Tuesday October 11, 10:30 AM at the Denver South Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2675 S. Downing St., Denver, CO 80210 (next to Porter Hospital). In lieu of flowers, Ken suggests donations in her memory to the Denver Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 5022, Denver, CO 80217, or the Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec St., Denver, CO 80231.
