May 14th, 1934 - March 29th, 2008
Kirby, K. Elizabeth, of Truro, Nova Scotia, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in Florida on March 29, 2008. Elizabeth was active in many church and community organizations, including, United Church Women, IODE, past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro Ladies Curling Club. She was predeceased by her parents, Gilbert and Lovina Caldwell and her sister, Pauline Minugh. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Doug Kirby; her 3 daughters and 1 son: Paula Tom Henley, Berwick, Stephen Kirby, Shortts Lake, Janet Russell MacKinlay, Truro, Pamela Paul Quinn, Halifax; 5 grandchildren; 1 brother: Bonar Myrna Caldwell, Shubenacadie. Grammie will be missed dearly by her grandchildren. Elizabeth loved traveling and was a shopper with a keen eye for bargains. She also enjoyed knitting, playing bridge, and entertaining her many friends. The family requests that donations be made in Elizabeth's name to a charity of your choice or to the Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation.
