Kathryn "Kathy" Ann Lyons

Kathryn "Kathy" Ann Lyons Kathy passed away June 2, 2011, in Olympia, Washington. She was born October 12, 1944, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, and moved to St. Louis, MO, when she was one. She graduated from Cleveland High School in St. Louis. Kathy met her true love, Ron Lyons, on Valentine’s Day 1962 and married him on December 27, 1963. They immediately moved to Oakland, CA, where Ron was stationed in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Coral Sea. Returning to St. Louis for several years, the family moved to Grand Blanc, MI, for six years before finding their paradise in Washington State. Kathy loved dancing (and still does), crafts, dolphins and penguins, movies (mostly comedies) and many varieties of music. Kathy is survived by her mother, sisters and brother, spouse and their three children and five grandchildren, all of whom she loves unconditionally. Private inurnment for family and friends will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA, 12:30 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011. Donations in Kathy's memory may be made to “The Cove” at takepart.com.
