Kathryn Lynn Warner

Kathryn "Kay” Lynn Murray-Warner, 61, of Evans, CO went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 20, 2014 at Kenton Manor in Greeley, CO. She passed peacefully with her husband by her side and with her dog, Gypsy, on her lap. She was born May 28, 1953 to Maynard Murray and Dorothy (Masters) Morris in Swindon, England. She spent her youth growing up in many different places because of her father being in the Air Force. Kay graduated from Greeley West High School in 1972 and attended Aims Community College. On August 12, 1993, in Greeley, she married David Warner. Kay worked for State Farm, Hillside Child Development Center, was the personnel manager for C.D.S.I. and later ran her own home daycare business (Aunt Katie’s House) and cared for her mother-in-law. She was a United Way volunteer, avid reader, and enjoyed needle point and crocheting, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Kay always put others needs before her own and was very kind and compassionate. She was a wonderful friend, cheerful and uplifting to all. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church and Christ Community Church. Kay was a devout Christian and follower of Jesus Christ. Kay is survived by her husband, David of Evans; parents, Frank and Dorothy Morris of Greeley; step daughters, Colette and Sarah Warner both of Minnesota; brother, Stephen (Tena) Murray of Torrington, WY; sisters, Laurel S. Allen of Greeley and Kristen L. (Jim) Thompson of Casa Grande, AZ; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Maynard Murray; sister, Paula Jean; grandparents, Walter and Nellie Masters and Paul and Mamie Murray; and favorite niece, Erika. Celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
