Kathy Boggs Hunsaker

Kathy Boggs Hunsaker, 68, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Johnson City Medical Center following a period of declining health. She was a loving, caring, giving, and compassionate wife, sister, and friend. Kathy will be deeply missed by many here on earth, but our loss is heaven's gain. She was preceded in death by her parents, Avis and Ruth Boggs; sister, Ava Fleenor; brother, David Boggs; nephew Chris Fleenor. Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, Richard Hunsaker; step-son, Brian Hunsaker; brother, Rod Boggs; uncle, Charles Stanley; special friends, Bill and Evelyn Parker; special cousin, Darlene Jennings; along with several nephews and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1pm on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Larry Browder and Bro. Charles Senior officiating. Music will be provided by Bob Brickey and Mike Wright. A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with Shad Boggs, Rodney Boggs, River Boggs, Kevin Fleenor, Fernando Salamat, and Daniel Hatcher serving as pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is serving the Hunsaker family.
