Katie Ann Martinez

Katie Ann Martinez September 24, 1977 - September 24, 2022 Katie Ann Martinez entered and exited this world on September 24 in Greeley, exactly 45 years apart. She attended Cheeks School of Cosmetology, where she later taught. Her life was marked by adventures she shared with her siblings and many cousins and friends. Katie had a great sense of humor and was a giving, thoughtful person. Her smile was infectious, and no matter life's circumstances, she remained caring and beautiful. Katie, professionally, was a cosmetologist and particularly talented with color. She had much to look forward to, as she was soon to be a grandmother. Katie is survived by her children Jacob Martinez and Jordan Garcia as well as Jordan's father David with whom she shared more than a decade of her life. Also surviving Katie are her mother, Kathy; brother Nathan and wife Danielle; sister Maxine (Jaime); nephew Kyle; nieces Alondra and Raphaëlle; sister-in-law, Amanda; cousins, Shelly, Justine, and Liz; a large extended family; and many friends, all of whom loved her and will miss her. Her father Jerry (Max) Medina preceded her in death. A celebration of her life is being held Saturday, October 1 at 1:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 2600 6th Ave., Greeley.
