August 12th, 1937 - July 30th, 2012
Mrs. Kay Stewart Kidd, 74, of Greensboro, died Monday, July 30, 2012 at Wesley Long Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Dr. Patricia B. Spicer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Kidd was born in Greensboro, August 12, 1937, to Macy Hamilton and Myra Wilkinson Stewart. She graduated from Women's College and was a member of West Market Street United Methodist Church. She was married to the late Lloyd Kidd and was an owner/operator of a motel with him. She was also preceded in death by her step-son, Arnold Thomas Kidd. Mrs. Kidd is survived by her sister Ann Hamilton Stewart, of the home; daughter, Kelly Breitbach and husband Jim, of Dubuque, Iowa; son, Kenneth Kidd, of Helsinki, Finland; step-daughter, Cheryl Kidd and husband George Cornett, of Greensboro; grandchildren, Jack, Justin, Sara, and Emma Cullers; and her beloved dog 'Sweetie'. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Wednesday at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank the many loving, caring people, Jeri Callahan, Jackie Willard, Rhonda Brooks, Glenda Wolfe, Vonda Smith, Melissa Saferight, and Rachel VanEerdan, for the care of their Mother.
