Kay Perry Miller

Kay Perry Miller "Mama Kay" went to heaven to be with the LORD and her husband, David, on March 28, 2023. Kay was born on October 21, 1934 in Kannapolis, NC to Robert and Katherine Perry. She lived a long, full life that was filled with faith, family, friends and love. Dave and Kay had three children, Karen, Eric and David. They left a tremendous legacy of twelve grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. Kay was preceded in death by her older sister, Mary Ann Williams and survived by her younger sister, Cassie Cannon. Dave and Kay were a team. They loved serving at their church and spent summers at the Carolina Bible Camp, usually handling the snack bar. Kay loved music and reading and theatre and she passed those to her friends and family. She was a wonderful cook and loved to host, and especially known for her wonderful biscuits which she could just stir up without notice without a recipe. For most of her life, Kay's profession was mom, but after her children left she had a successful career as a realtor. In retirement, she loved serving as a docent at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, where she could serve and also indulge her love for music and theatre. She also loved volunteering at the Mint Hill History Museum. A celebration of her life will be held at Tribute & Tallent on April 11, 2023. Her family will greet visitors at 10:00 and a service will follow at 11. Kay will be buried with a family service next to her husband at the Jericho Church of Christ in Mocksville, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Carolina Bible Camp to help with improvements to the Dave and Kay Miller Gazebo.
