Kelly Susan Thompson December 30th, 1967 - November 16th, 2021 Kelly Thompson of Greeley Colorado passed away at the age of 53 at the Northern Colorado Medical Center Hospice Unit from complications of COVID. She was born on December 30th 1967 in Greeley CO to Robert and Sylvia Chinn. She grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley Central Highschool class of 1986. She graduated from AIMS Community College with an Associates degree in general studies and business administration. She married Vernon Smith in June of 1989 and divorced in 2011. On October 14th, 2012 she married Matthew Thompson of Greeley formally of Culbertson, NE. For most of her working career she worked in office jobs and early childhood daycare. For the last several years, she was a homemaker, wife, and mother. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, father in law Denly, Joye Thompson of Culbertson NE, brother in law Tim Thompson of McCook NE. Kelly is survived by husband Matt of Greeley, daughter Erica of Evans CO, mother Sylvia Chinn of Greeley, brother Greg (Shannon) Chinn of Austin TX, brother in law Joe (Carol) Thompson of Hastings NE, sister in law Sarajane (Robert) Grandia of Loveland CO, Marijill (tom) Nickerson of Kearney Nebraska, Aunt Shirley Williams, Stella Templton both of Greeley, Uncle Lonnie Hagel of Brighton CO, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family. By honoring Kelly's wishes there will be no memorial service for her. Memorials will be accepted in her name at Northern Colorado Crematory at 700 8th street, Greeley CO. NCC has been entrusted with her after life care and inurnment will take place at a later date in Nebraska.
