Kelly Rene Vigil

Kelly Rene Vigil, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 23,2024, inDenver, Colorado. Born on February 6th, 1971 , in Denver, Kelly was the beloved daughter of Caroline (Carol) and Garry Hetzel (her mother and stepfather) and Ray Scarbrough (her father). She was the cherished sister of Tracie Scarbrough, Angela Ramsey and Amanda Scarbrough and beloved by her brothers, Joseph Hetzel, and Larry Ray Scarbrough and her brother Tommy Scarbrough, his wife Jessica, and their children, Tommy Lee and Chloe Mae. Kelly is survived by her ex-husband Charles Vigil, her three children Ryan Cole, Kristy Pena, Danien Vigil, and her 7 grandchildren Nevaeh, Savannah, Aiden, Noah, Makenzie, Lyla, and Emma. She is also remembered fondly by her extended family and countless friends.

Kelly got her BA degree from Metropolitan State College, where she excelled in criminal justice classes. She went on to pursue a career with multiple positions in the field of community outreach, education, and betterment. She was known for her dedication and passion in her work and easily forged multiple lifelong friendships with her co-workers and clients. She loved to help her clients and strived to enrich the lives of all those she worked with.

ln her personal life, Kelly had a deep love for her family and friends, and she was happiest when she got to spend her Sunday afternoons surrounded by them and cheering for the Broncos. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support for her family and friends made her a treasured presence in the lives of all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held at VFW Post 9644 on Sunday October 6th, where family and friends will gather to commemorate Kelly's life and share memories.

Her legacy of kindness, love, and strength will live on in all the lives she touched
