Kenneth "Ken" C Doughty
July 17th, 1944 - November 17th, 2013
Kenneth C. Doughty of Waukesha passed away after a three year battle with Leukemia on Sunday, November 17, 2013, peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 69 years. He was born on July 17, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Carl and Ruby Doughty. Ken married the love of his life, Lorraine (nee Kusch) on October 31, 1964. He was a long time Truck Driver working for General Cartage and later The Fleming Company. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 200. Ken enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf, wood working and watching NASCAR. He was an old car enthusiast and would travel in the summers to "The Fishing House" up north. Most of all Ken loved being with his family. Ken will be lovingly missed by his wife, Lorraine of 49 years, his father, Carl Doughty; his daughters, Linda Gironimi-Johnson, Lynnette (James) Mollet and Laura (Brian) Ahtonen; his grandchildren, Haley, Celia, Jensen, Jadyn, Callen and baby Ahtonen (due April 2014). He is further survived by his siblings, Dennis (Judy) Doughty, Melody (Gregory) Bannach and Sherilynne (Jon) Giuliani; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ken is preceded in death by his mother, Ruby and his in-laws, James and Marion Kusch. The visitation for Ken will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service, with a Celebration of Life Luncheon to follow on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186. The Reverend James Gorman will be officiating. The burial will take place privately at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken's name would be appreciated to the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, (please see address above).
