Kenneth Ferguson

Kenneth (Ken) Ferguson,76, of Avondale, AZ passed away Monday, April 15, 2019. He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 15, 1943, the first child of the late Henry and Mary Ferguson. He moved to Oil City, Pennsylvania when he was 11 years old, and remained there until graduating from Oil City High School in 1961. After high school, he joined the Army and served his country until 1964. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, which is where he met Yukie Kinjo, the love of his life and his wife of 52 years, until her death in 2018. They married in Naha, Okinawa in 1965, and moved to Erie, PA in 1966 to start their new life together. While in Erie, they had two sons, James Henry Ferguson (Jim) in 1967 and William Edward Ferguson (Billy) in 1975. The family moved to Irvine, CA in 1978. He worked in data processing before retiring to Arizona in 2004. He is survived by son James Ferguson and his former wife Sandy of Madison, OH; son William Ferguson of El Mirage, AZ; and brother John Ferguson. In addition, he is survived by grandchildren Jason and Cara Ferguson of Madison, OH, and Maya Fernandez of Avondale, AZ. He was also like a grandfather to Robert Fernandez of Avondale, AZ, and like a father to Leticia Fernandez of Avondale, AZ. Friends may call at Regency Mortuary, 9850 W.
