The word “legendary” seems inadequate to describe this extraordinary man. He was a fun-loving guy who never took life too seriously. Kenny learned the value of family and lifelong love from his parents, Vergil and Lolly Gallegos. He continued their legacy by celebrating 43 years of marriage to his wife, Teresa (Clark) Gallegos. He also leaves behind his daughter, Tina Marie Gallegos, who was his pride and joy, as well as the son he always wanted - his son-in-law Larry Myers. His granddaughter, Sydney Lynne Jerome, was the light of his life and the family was recently blessed with the new addition of Sydney’s husband, Mark Jerome. Kenny, together with his younger siblings, Tim, Jeff, and Toni, helped fill the Gallegos home with fun and energy. Kenny’s enthusiasm for adventure started at a very young age when he started racing motocross. He was the youngest rider, at 12 years old, to win his first race at the Mountain Home Jackrabbit Scramble. At 14 years old, his chain broke so he had to push his bike across the finish line and still managed to take first place. At age 17, he won his first of many motocross championships and races. Next to family, motorcycles and off-road vehicles were Kenny’s passion. Anyone who ever met him loved him because of his enthusiasm, skill, and rambunctious personality. When Kenny wasn’t with his family or racing, he enjoyed a long career in the painting industry, co-owning Gallegos Painting with his dad. In 2013, he lost his best friend and mentor, his father Vergil, and he assumed the role as guardian of the family. While some would feel overwhelmed with such an important role, Kenny embraced it as he did with everything else in his life; with determination, kindness and his family’s best interests always in mind. The word “stranger” was foreign to Kenny, as he was instantly friends with anyone he met. Everyone was drawn to his easy-going personality. You usually heard him before you saw him, so everyone knew the instant he had arrived. His sense of humor and constant practical jokes kept everyone on their toes. He would turn everything into a joke to keep us laughing. It makes sense that one of the things we will miss the most is his infectious laugh and smile. The void that Kenny’s passing leaves in our hearts will never be filled. Knowing he left this earth doing what he loved makes it a little easier. So, Kenny, until we meet again, keep Heaven on its toes with the sound of your motorcycle, wheelies, and laughter echoing for all to hear. CLICK HERE TO VIEW LIVE STREAM

We Entrusted Kenneth Gallegos's Care To

Accent Funeral Home

A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
