Kenneth William Mayer

Kenneth W. Mayer passed away peacefully at the Manatee Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones on April 23, 2015. He was born on October 14, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio to Fred and Anita Mayer. Kenneth served his country in both the Korean War and WWII as a Master Sergeant in the tanker division. He married Wanda L. Ottinger on December 10, 1955 at the Lakewood Methodist Church in Lakewood, Ohio. For the last 17 years they have resided in Punta Gorda Isles where they found a great deal of happiness. Kenneth had a passion for his family, country, home, animals and cars. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda Mayer and their daughters, Stephanie Smith and Rebecca Rodriguez. Their youngest daughter, Tiffany Mayer preceded him in death. He will be greatly missed by his family. There will be a private service at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery.
