Kenneth Lee Miller Sr.
September 5th, 1949 - September 11th, 2019
Rogersville -Kenneth Lee Miller Sr., 70, of Rogersville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Kenneth was born in Hawkins County on September 5, 1949 to the late Denver and Thelma Miller. He graduated from Surgoinsville High School. Kenneth retired from Eastman and was currently employed by Worley/Jacobs. He loved farming, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family. He was known for growing the best watermelons in Hawkins County. Kenneth was treasured by all who knew him and he was the most compassionate, kindhearted man. His influence and mentoring molded many young lives to be the success that they are today. Along with his parents Kenneth was preceded in death by his sons, Christopher Martin Miller and W Ray Williams III; siblings, Pat Miller, Roy Miller, Eva Higgins, Daphne (Sis) Smith; Jack Miller, and Brenda Morningstar; and great granddaughter, Baby Taylor Williams. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda “Kay” Miller; son, Kenneth Lee Miller Jr. and wife Jennifer; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Cheek and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Rebecca Williams, Kenneth “Justin” Miller and wife Kelli, Josh Wallen and wife Shawna, Kayleigh McClain, Kaylee Cheek, and Ryleigh Miller; great grandchildren, Kristian, Tyler, Brooklyn, Maddox, Kendalyn, and Jordyn; siblings, JoAnn Horne and husband Francis, Jim Miller and wife Paula, Linda Hall, and Jerry Miller and wife Theresa; sister in-law, Patsy Miller; several loving nieces, nephews, and friends that were like family. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Highland Cemetery in Rogersville with Rev. Wayne McCarty officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Kenneth’s Memory. Carter Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Miller Family.
