Kenneth Montgomery

Kenneth Montgomery, a child of God, went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2015 at 5:25 AM, surrounded by family and held by his wife of 46 years, Barbara. Kenneth had the heart of a servant. He will forever be remembered as an adoring Husband, loving Dad, perfect Pop Pop, caring and supportive Father in Law, devoted son and brother, steadfast friend, true gentleman, and an advocate for those in need. He is a lifetime resident of Pinellas County. He is a graduate of St. Petersburg High School, Stetson University and Stetson University School of Law. Kenneth joined the US Navy where he served in the VD-1 Squadron during WWII. Upon graduation from Stetson Law Ken was recruited into the Federal Bureau of Investigation and served under Director J. Edgar Hoover. His legal career was vast, which included City Prosecutor, Assistant State Attorney, Attorney for the Florida Legislative Delegation, as well as the private practice of law in Pinellas and Hillsborough County. He was also a proud 50 year member of The Florida Bar. Ken is the son of Jesse Hugh and Sadie Lois (Boyer) Montgomery (both deceased) and the loving brother of Dorothy Williams (deceased) and Elizabeth Montgomery. Husband to Barbara and father to Kenneth Lenard (deceased), Ronald Hugh (deceased), Cathy Stroud (Larry), Randal Scott (Diane), and Holly Magnan (Robert). Grandchildren, Nicole, Joshua, Samantha, Kendall, Victoria, Kiley and great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Kenneth at Parkshore Condominium Social Room, 300 Beach Dr. NE, St. Petersburg, on Monday, September 14, 2015. Reception from 6:00 - 7:30 PM with Ken's favorite food and "vino". Celebration of Life Service from 7:30 - 8:30. Parking Assistance will be available. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Gulfcoast Legal Services, a nonprofit, providing free legal services to those in need.
