Kenneth C. Moore

"Holland, Kenneth C. Moore, 81, f W. Brimfield Road, died peacefully at home on Friday, August 13. Born in Springfield, November 23, 1928, he was the son of Harry C. and Alberta E. (Barrus) Moore and has lived in Holland for over 40 years. A Veteran of WWII, he served in the Marine Corps in the First Air Wing Division. A member of IBEW Local #7, Ken was an electrician for 50 years for Collins Electric before retiring. He was a past member of the Sheriff's Dept. Uniform Division, a member of the Masonic Order and was also a member of the Melha Shriners. In his leisure, he enjoyed hunting and golfing. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 59 years, Beverly (Brick) Moore, along with his 4 children Deborah Martin and her husband Douglas of Springfield, Cynthia Labaire and her husband Jeffrey of Holland, Cheryl Moore of Chicopee, and Kenneth C. Moore, II and his wife Kimberly of Wales. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Quaboag Valley Hospice and Fr. Dominic for the care and support during Ken's illness. Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 17 from 4:00 to 6:30: p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., (Rte 20) followed by a service of remembrance at 7:00 p.m. There will be a Masonic service at 6:30 p.m. prior to the remembrance service.
