Kenneth R. Payne of Rockledge, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Ken was born on May 11, 1962, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph P. and Rose Angela Howard Payne. Ken is survived by his three children Kenneth Payne, Kayla Payne, and Kristina Payne, of Melbourne, Florida; his sisters Marilyn Beyke and Theresa Payne of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Jane Gayhart of Rockport, Indiana; his brother Mark Payne (Leigh) of Troutman, North Carolina; 11 nieces and nephews; and 25 great nieces and nephews. Ken graduated from the University of Louisville Speed Scientific School with a Master of Electrical Engineering. He was known as an expert RF and Microwave Design Engineer working for several large companies and as an independent consultant throughout his career. Ken was known for his boisterous and contagious laugh, and great humor. He was a devoted father and was blessed with faith, a loving family, and dear friends. He enjoyed bible study, travel, movies, his work, and time with family and friends. He was loved by many. His absence leaves a void in our hearts, but his spirit lives on through the memories we shared and the lessons he imparted. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Tuesday, December 19th at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Rockledge, Florida. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 pm in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Ken Babington officiating.
