Kenneth C. Payne

Kenneth Payne was born to James, “Jack” and Jill Payne in Chicago on May 6, 1970. He died suddenly early morning Sept 17,2024. Ken graduated from college with a BS in actuarial science from University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign campus in 1992. After graduation, he worked as an actuary in several companies. After moving to Tampa, he met Vicki and they married on February 10, 2018. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack. He is survived by his mother, Jill Payne of Chicago; wife Vicki Payne and step son, Trajan of Tampa. He is further survived by brothers Mark (Vicky) and Patrick (Lindsay) and sisters Jackie (Ralph), Paula, and Sybil (Frank), along with nieces and nephews Jack, Vivian, Cece, Jemma, Paloma, Amalia, Mackenzie, and Sean. 

Ken was a man of few words and strong commitments. His respect for people, and love of family deeply marked his personality. He enjoyed family meals and games, as well as cheering on Trajan and his teammates in their hockey exploits. He served his clients at Ascensus Financial services with simple excellence. 

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at Florida Mortuary Funeral and Cremation Services of Tampa on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 3PM preceded by visitation with the family from 2-3PM.
