Kenneth Lee Roten, 78, husband of the late Linda Gail Stafford Roten, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina on August 31, 1944 to the late Fannie Frances Osborne and Elmer Lee Roten. Kenneth graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Berea College and had a masters from the University of Louisville, both in social services. He worked in health and family services for the state of Kentucky. Kenneth also served as an Elder to his church, Peaks Mill Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music and watching old westerns. Those left to cherish his memory includes his sons, Kendall (Jennifer Hicks) Roten, Keith (Amber) Roten; brothers, James (Robyn Pearson), Gary (Rebecca) Roten; sister-in-law, Sheila Roten; grandchildren, James Kyle (Robert Roethmeyer, III) Roten, Shara (Zach) Mason, Dorsey Roten, and Aeryn Roten; and his great grandchild, Amelia Wren Mason. Kenneth also has a great grandson on the way. In addition to his wife and parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his brother, Grady Joe Roten. Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 7, 2023, at 1PM at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Rd with Bro. Ronnie McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service on Friday April 7, 2023. A reception will follow at the funeral home after graveside service from 3PM-5PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Camp Calvary Christian Church Scholarship Fund. https://kycampcalvary.com/
