Kenneth Harry Simmons, 68, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 13, 2011. He was a re tired engineer from FP&L and served in the Air Force. He was born on September 18, 1942 in Sioux City, Iowa to the late Matthew J. Simmons and Evangeline Chase. He was preceded in death by sisters, Eva Sim mons, Francis McFarland and Lenore Breese and a brother, Matthew Simmons, Jr. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Cole Simmons; his daughters, Mary Kathleen Parada (Eric), Caroline Marie Se pesy (Jeff); and grandchil dren, Wilson, Benjamin, Cecelia, and Lydia Parada, Kenny and Emily Stevens, and Alyssa and Nicholas Sepesy. He is also survived by his sisters, Elaine Elmer and Shirley Fawcett and a brother, Robert Simmons. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 19th at St. Marys Catholic Church in Rock ledge. The family will re ceive friends directly after services in the narthex.
