Kevin Allan Chase

Kevin Allan Chase was born October 24, 1970 in Derry, NH. Kevin moved to Mt Pleasant, SC when he was 19 years old. He came down to utilize his skill in construction to help re-build homes after Hurricane Hugo. Kevin had many other accomplishments, he didn’t end up doing construction forever, he did carry out his handy skill in his home creating furniture for his daughters and garden beds., etc. Kevin’s main passion was helping people and saving lives. After 4 years of construction, he became a paramedic in 1994. He worked mainly for Berkeley County, SC but also with Dorchester and Charleston Counties. Kevin was an outdoorsman. He had a great passion for traveling and gaining knowledge of different environments. He enjoyed hiking, backpacking, fishing, camping and gardening. Kevin also loved more extreme outdoor sports such as skydiving. He learned to freefall on his own and did that a dozen times. He also enjoyed mountain biking, white water rafting and snowmobiling. Kevin also enjoyed traveling with his daughters and having them experience adventure outdoors. He had unmatched energy and always kept going. He never thought there could be an end to accomplishing and creating new goals, earning an associate degree in science from Ohio University. Kevin’s love of traveling took him to Portland, OR in 2009. He got his associates degree in machine technology at Portland Community College. Kevin could teach himself anything just by reading a book. He was always yearning for new knowledge. He touched many lives with his charismatic personality and humor. He was loved by many. He is survived by his mother, Carol (Karpinski) Chase, 2 daughters Kalei and Myah Chase, 2 grandchildren Treyson and Ivy Latimore, his uncle Daniel Chase and wife Louise, and his aunts Joanne Knight, Deborah Chase and Melinda Murphy. He will be received in heaven by his father Allan Chase, his uncle Richard Karpinski, his nephew Daniel Spencer Griffin.
