W. Kevin Goodnight On Thursday, February 17, 2011, the world lost an amazing man. Kevin died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon February 17, 2011, and went home to be with the Lord Jesus. Kevin was born in Lexington, KY, on June 26, 1977, to joyful parents. Kevin grew up in Charlotte among a unique and beautiful magnitude of friends, where he flourished. He learned to love and was dearly loved. Kevin was selfless and caring, living a life full of athleticism, genuine joy and happiness. He had an unforgettable presence about him and will always be remembered by all those whose lives touched his. The family welcomes and request your prayers as they endure this tragic loss. Those that Kevin left behind are his beloved daughter, Autumn Goodnight; parents, Wayne Goodnight and Mary Cochran and her husband, Tommy; brother, Jason Goodnight and his grandmother, Eloise Freeze. Other family members include, Jennifer Goodnight, Harvey and Crystal Freeze, Lewis Freeze, Pam Culp, Jeff and Mary Spicer, Richard and Jane Murphy, Donnie and Sharon Ratledge and his companion, Kellie Smerz. A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 21, 2011, in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service. The committal service will be in Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis at 3:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday afternoon February 20, 2011, at Hankins and Whittington. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor?s Choice.
