All Veterans Funeral & Cremation - Colorado Springs
Kevin Kiechlin
April 3rd, 1943 - February 21st, 2018
Kevin Peter Kiechlin of Colorado Springs, Colorado was born April 3, 1943 to Edmond and Alice (Lindars) Kiechlin in Brooklyn, New York. He went to be with Jesus on February 21, 2018 with his family by his side. After spending 20 years in the Air Force primarily in missile training development, he finished his career developing the pilot training program at United Airlines in Denver. Kevin enjoyed golfing with friends and traveling with his beloved wife, Judy, especially to Hawaii, Civil War battlefields and other historic sites. He loved rooting for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers his entire life, and one of his favorite memories was being selected to play a softball game in Dodger stadium as part of a dedicated fan promotion in 1992. Kevin was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus Christ, an honorable serviceman to his country, and loving protector of his family. He dedicated his life to making sure his family and friends knew how much they were loved. Kevin never said a bad word about anyone and loved making everyone he met smile with his ever-present dry sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. Even at the very end of his life, many a nurse was caught off-guard with a comment like, "Is this your first time doing that?" And, his family was well-trained to not repeat themselves when someone jokingly asked, "What?" anytime anything even remotely related to ears or hearing was mentioned. Kevin is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Judy (Drake) Kiechlin; his two daughters, Stacey Dyer and Amy Konyndyk; his son, Shaun Kiechlin; his two sons-in-law, Dan Dyer and David Konyndyk; and his two granddaughters, Aubrey Dyer and Haley Dyer. He is also survived by his brother Edmond and Sally (Doan) Kiechlin.
