Kevin Regis McClelland

Kevin Regis McClelland, 49. of St Petersburg passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday morning November 20,2016. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on July 24 1967 and raised in Wethersfield Connecticut. He graduated from Wethersfield High School. He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Jean (Hunter) McClelland and his grandmother Shirley M. Hunter. He is survived by his father Russell W. McClelland and Nancy both of Cromwell, Connecticut, his brothers and their spouses James and Sherry Boyinglon of St. Petersburg, Florida, Patrick R. and Cindy McClelland of Marlborough, Massachusetts, his sisters Kimberley A. Waskowitz of Cromwell, Connecticut and Heather L. and Donald Driggs of Enfield, Connecticut. Kevin is also survived by his two sons, Zachary McClelland of Seabrook, Texas and Nicholas McClelland of Winston-Salem, South Carolina. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins living throughout New England. Kevin served his country with the United States Army based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky after which he moved to St. Petersburg. He loved cooking and worked in various restaurants along the beaches as a chef. His place of contentment was the beaches along the Gulf shores of St. Petersburg. Kevin's life was full of adventures and new challenges. With his unique ability, he would meet and overcome whatever obstacle came his way. His personality and charming smile gave him many, many life-long friends and acquaintances. There will be no calling hours at this time. A memorial service will be held in Connecticut on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 300 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT permitting all family and friends to be in attendance to celebrate Kevin's life.
