SURRETT, KEVIN GLEN, 36, of St. Petersburg, passed away Wednesday June 10, 2009. He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, Lee and Sharri Surrett; his brother, Ed Surrett; his sister and brother in law Michelle and Bill Devlin and family; his nephew Erik Surrett and family; his niece Alyssa Dow and family; Many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins. He had some very special canines in his life named Trixie, Koda and Katy and they all loved each other very much. Kevin will live in our hearts forever, and will never be forgotten. He loved to travel, kayak, scuba dive and being on the water. He loved all sports and loved to participate in fantasy football and baseball. He was an avid reader and movie-goer, He enjoyed music, concerts and spending time with his many friends and family, especially at Starbucks. If you asked him, his favorite place in the world was New Zealand where he admired the beauty of the lands and the seas and took to heart the kindness and friendship offered to him by every New Zealander that he encountered. He graduated from Dixie Hollins High School in 1990, University of South Florida in 1995, and graduated with his Pharm D from Mercer University in Atlanta Georgia, a city which he dearly loved. He worked locally as a Pharmacist for Publix, Walgreens and Kmart. He was dedicated to his profession and took the care of his patients seriously and handled each case with great compassion and respect. He was a great and highly respected Pharmacist of the highest quality. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2009, here at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, Friends will be received from 6-7PM, and services will be at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to your favorite charity in Kevin's name. As a family we greatly suggest The Suncoast Hospice. You can visit their website at www.thehospice.org or please call Ed Surrett at 727-430-1279. Alternatively the Surrett family greatly admires the good works done by The Salvation Army and they would be an excellent choice as well. We, Kevin's family wish to thank each of you for the kindness and compassion that you have demonstrated. There are not words to say how meaningful your thoughts, prayers and actions have been and will continue to be to us. Please, if you feel led to do so, leave your comments in the online guestbook as your words and feelings will bring us great comfort. Together, we will heal and remember Kevin with a twinkle in our eyes and a smile rather than the tears that are now flowing so freely. Let us mourn only for a little while. We love you all. The Surrett Family
