Alganesh, 50, of Charlotte died at Charlotte Carolina Medical Center of Saturday, August 28, 2010. She was born on December 21, 1959, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She was the daughter of Gebremedhin Bahta and Rebecca Gebreselassie. She attended Nativity Girls School followed by Kokobe Tsebah High School (1974-1978) in Addis Ababa. Alganesh immigrated to the United States in August of 1981. She attended Santa Monica College and earned her degree from Cosmetology College in San Diego in 1993. In 1982, she met Fessehaye and got married in California on July 1, 1983. In 1994, the family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina. Alganesh was always devoted to her family and those in-need. She helped numerous family members immigrate to the United States, she was truly the pillar and foundation of her family. She enjoyed traveling, but most of all loved gathering with family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Fessehaye Tewelde and her children; Martha (California), Haben, Luwam, and Dawit in Charlotte, North Carolina.
